Recent Emergency Lighting Installation Completed in Milton Keynes ![]()
We’re pleased to have recently completed a full emergency lighting installation for one of our commercial clients in Milton Keynes.
Our team managed the project from start to finish, including:
First-fix cabling throughout the premises
Installation of emergency lighting test key switches
Second-fix installation and commissioning of emergency lighting equipment
Mounting of emergency bulkhead fittings
Installation of illuminated directional exit signage
Emergency spotlights for specialist and higher-risk areas
Where possible, we incorporated existing emergency signage and installed additional signage where required to ensure suitable coverage throughout the building. Some of the additional signage was fitted after these photos were taken.
Emergency lighting is a critical life-safety system within commercial premises, providing illumination and clear guidance on escape routes in the event of a mains power failure. In the UK, building owners and responsible persons have duties under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 to ensure occupants can safely evacuate a building during an emergency. Emergency lighting systems are typically designed, installed, and maintained in accordance with BS 5266, the recognised Code of Practice for emergency lighting.
A well-designed emergency lighting system not only supports compliance but, more importantly, helps protect staff, visitors and building occupants when it matters most.
Great work from the team delivering another safe, compliant and high-quality installation.
